The Hitron CDA-RES modem is the modem you will receive when signing up for one of our unlimited cable Internet plans in the Videotron cable backbone region of Quebec.  We have been testing and comparing this device with others with the help of our subscribers’ feedbacks and comments for a quite a while now. It is a compact, efficient modem that offers stability and reliability.  The Hitron CDA-RES can deliver download speeds over 100Mbps.

Since this is a free rental, HeroNet covers the warranty on the device as long as you have your service. If it turns out defective or not performing like it should, we will send you a new modem and simply ask that you return your old device once you receive your new one. Also, in the event you find HeroNet less than heroic, don’t worry! This is also a modem that you will be able to use with other ISP’s such as Teksavvy, Acanac or Distributel. If you are transferring service from them to us, note that most of their modems will also work with us!

Hitron CDA-RES Quebec cable modem

Modems are to us a little bit like what Milk is to Oreos, or what Robin is to Batman. Our team of Technical Support Heroes has tested multiple devices before finding the one.  If you are located in a region covered by the Videotron cable backbone, it will be your one as well. The Hitron CDA-RES has proven over time to be reliable, stable and efficient. It can deliver download speeds over 100Mbps.

Easy to use

The average Internet user will be happy to know that on a simplicity level, the Hitron CDA-RES modem is quite the charmer. There are only 4 interfaces and buttons on the device. The Power button, the Reset button, the entry to plug in the cable wire and the entry to plug in an Ethernet cable (RJ-45).  The front of the device is also easy to decrypt, displaying 5 lights allowing to assess the status of your Internet connection: the Power light, the DS light (Downstream channel indicator) the US light (Upstream channel indicator), the Status light (Internet indicator) and the LAN light (Ethernet indicator).

Technical details

The more advanced Internet user, a.k.a. Internet Hero at heart, will be interested to know that the Hitron CDA-RES is Docsis 3.0 compliant. It can support 8 downstream channels and 4 upstream channels and offers transparent bridging for IP traffic.  For more information on the device, please follow this link!

Warranty

Please note that HeroNet offers a one-year warranty on the Hitron CDA-RES. If it stops working or does not perform the way it should, we will quickly replace your modem by shipping you a brand new one via Canada Post Express. For those who think they may get cold feet with HeroNet, do not worry! This modem is such a Hero; it will work with other ISP’s such as Teksavvy, Acanac, Distributel and many more!

You can also purchase your modem elsewhere and bring it to HeroNet!
